Groundnut Oil in Bulk — 5L & 10L, Same Wooden-Ghani Pressing
This is the same cold-pressed groundnut oil we sell in smaller bottles — pressed in our own wooden ghani in Nagpur, filtered, and bottled with no refining, no chemical solvents, and no heat treatment — just sized for households, tiffin services, small canteens and anyone who goes through oil fast enough that buying in bulk actually makes sense.
Buying 5L or 10L instead of repeat 1L bottles works out cheaper per litre, and it means fewer reorders. The trade-off with any unrefined oil bought in a larger volume is that once opened, it should be used at a reasonable pace — see the storage guidance below for how to keep a large can fresh until you finish it.
Why bulk buyers choose wood pressed over refined. If you're already buying groundnut oil by the can, you're likely cooking in volume — a busy household, a tiffin service, a small eatery. The case for switching that volume to wood pressed is the same case as for a single bottle, just multiplied: no hexane extraction, no bleaching, no deodorising, and an oil that retains more of the groundnut's natural character and nutrients than industrially refined oil does. At bulk volumes, the price difference per litre between refined and wood pressed narrows too, since our 5L and 10L pricing is already discounted versus buying five or ten 1L bottles separately.
How it's pressed. Same process as our standard bottles, just scaled: raw groundnuts, cleaned and cold-pressed in a slow-turning wooden ghani, then filtered and canned. Nothing changes about the process for the larger sizes — you're getting mill-fresh oil, not a different production line.
How to use it
| Use | Notes |
|---|---|
| High-volume everyday cooking | Ideal for households or small kitchens going through oil quickly |
| Tiffin services / small canteens | Cost-efficient at this volume without switching to refined oil |
| Deep frying in batches | Reasonably high smoke point for a cold-pressed oil |
| Decanting into smaller bottles | Practical for daily kitchen use — see storage notes on doing this right |
Storing it right
This is the one place bulk buying needs a little more care than a single bottle. Keep the main can sealed, upright, away from direct sunlight and away from the stove's heat. For daily use, decant a smaller working quantity (a week or two's worth) into a clean, dry bottle rather than opening the full can repeatedly — this limits how much air and light the bulk of your oil is exposed to. Once opened, aim to use the full can within about 4–6 months for the best flavour and nutrient retention; for a 10L can that means realistically planning for a household or kitchen that goes through at least 1.5–2L a month.
Frequently asked questions
Is the 5L/10L oil the same quality as the 1L bottle, or a different grade?
Identical — same wooden ghani pressing, same batch process, just packed in a larger can. There's no separate "bulk-grade" oil.
How long will a 10L can realistically last once opened?
For best flavour and freshness, plan to finish it within 4–6 months of opening. That works out to roughly 1.5–2L a month, which fits most families or small kitchens with steady daily cooking.
Is it cheaper per litre than buying 1L bottles?
Yes. The 5L and 10L pricing is set below the cost of buying the equivalent number of 1L bottles separately — that's the main reason to buy this size if your usage supports it.
Can I decant it into smaller bottles for daily use?
Yes, and we recommend it. Keep the large can sealed and pour a week or two's worth into a clean, dry bottle for the kitchen counter, rather than repeatedly opening and closing the full can.
Is this suitable for commercial use, like a small restaurant or tiffin service?
Many of our bulk buyers are exactly that — small kitchens, tiffin services and canteens that want wood pressed oil at a volume that makes sense economically. For larger recurring commercial orders, WhatsApp us directly to discuss availability and timelines.
Can this size be delivered anywhere in India, or only near Nagpur?
We ship across India — for very large or recurring bulk orders, WhatsApp us directly to confirm delivery timelines for your location.
